Walhout Group is member of knowledge platform Geotechniek. For 25 years, Geotechniek has been the leading professional journal and knowledge platform for the civil engineering sector in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the Netherlands, Geotechniek serves as the official publication of the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI), Department of Geotechnics.
Carbon fintech partner ecommit
European legislation requires organizations to reduce carbon emissions. Walhout Group offsets the carbon emissions from its services, activities, and projects through strategic investments in high-quality carbon credits via its partner ecommit. Ecommit BV is a leading Dutch specialist in the international carbon credit market, ensuring the highest standards of selection and quality. Ecommit has offices in Amsterdam and Goes and operates both nationally and internationally within the carbon market.
One of the largest reforestation projects in which Walhout Group invests is the Mangalam Timber Products Limited project in India, where 14,000 hectares of eucalyptus forest are being replanted (Ref: UNFCCC Project Validation Documents). Another project is GreenTrees ACRE in North America, involving the planting of 54,400 hectares of forest (Ref: Report ACR114 American Carbon Registry), as well as the Paulownia Plantations project in Croatia (Ref: Naturevest – Proba).
NMUC Malaysia
In September 2025, Walhout Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with several key maritime partners in Malaysia, including the Netherlands Maritime University College Malaysia. The agreement strengthens international cooperation in maritime engineering, coastal development, and knowledge exchange within the Southeast Asian maritime sector.

Promotion Council North Sea Port (PCNSP) serves as the ambassador of our port at both national and international levels. The organization strengthens public support and stakeholder engagement for the North Sea Port region while promoting the port’s strategic position and the services of its members worldwide. Its members include companies active in maritime services, transport and logistics, and industry.

Energy Port Zeeland is the leading platform connecting industry, government, and education in the offshore wind sector.
